Poetry Event ~ poster design

my client was a contemporary russian poet who needed a poster design for his poetry tour. 
he is known for both reciting poems written by the classic russian poet Sergey Esenin along with his own.

the goals were:
• to combine pictures of both poets
• to create a contemporary poster with retro references to the beginning of the 20th C. in Russia (Esenin's epoque)
• to make the text frame adaptable for different cities and adresses
