Wormwood ~ leaflet design 

This leaflet was designed for a russian folklore concert which was organised by the vocal faculty of St.Petersburg State Institute of Culture.

I was asked to make an accompaniment to the concert, which should include a list of songs and participating musicians. Wormwood, an important plant in Russian folklore, was a recurring theme within these songs. I decided to use this as inspiration for the colour palette and graphic elements.

The idea was to give some extra information to people attending the show, not to promote it. I was asked to keep all the original text, make it legible whilst adding accents to make in stand out. I tried to find a balance between formal and informal. Classic but not too classic. 

I like the way this design looks, it's well structured, light and elegant and delicately shows the main subject.
