Slow Down ~ music cover art 

my cover art for Slow Down single by Northern Rail, a dark wave project from Russia.
working on this cover was so inspiring! i listened to the pre-mixed track several times to catch all the nuances and only after that, expressed my feelings visually. 

the goals were:
• to create an atmospheric and ethereal design
• to express the general mood of the music
• to make it minimalistic but meaningful

i came up with 8 different variants and my client chose two of them, one as the main cover and an alternative one.

NB this single is a web release, vinyl image is demonstrative. I truly hope the song will be released on vinyl as well. it's definitely worthy of it!
